There may be times when your establishment would like to add an additional section within the tablet and mobile app in an attempt to promote or offer something new to its guests. The tutorial below will direct you in creating that new section/menu.
Login to GEMS and then select the CMS option. Note: You may have to scroll down to see the CMS option.
CMS stands for Content Management System and it determines what guests will see in the app.
After the CMS page loads, select "New Menu".
Input the name of the new section/menu.
Select the "Select Image" option to select one of the included images or to upload and then use one of your own images. Note: If you opt to use one of your own images, please make sure the image is squared and at least 1024x1024 format (png or jpg).
Select the down arrow on the right side of the App Module to select the type of function the new section/menu will be. Note: if the section/menu will lead to a web page when selected, please select "Link" from the drop down list and then insert the associated URL when prompted. Otherwise, you will more than likely select "Custom".
Select the "Card Grid" option if you want the card to appear in the style similar to what's depicted in the following screenshot.
Select "Carousel" if you want the section/menu to display in the form of a carousel in which the sections rotate from side to side.
Select "Checkerboard" if you want the section/menu to display in the form of a checkerboard.
Select the devices you want that section/menu to display on - typically your choices are as follows:
- Mobile - Smartphone app
- InRoom - InRoom Tablet app
- Web - The INTELITY-provide web page
Afterwards, select "Update" at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Afterwards, the section/menu you created will appear in the Main Menu at the bottom. You can click and hold on the 6 dots to drag that particular section/menu to the desired location.
